I think those Daytonas are a bit garish, to be honest.
The new Daytona is still way more fun than Bore Thrills games, but I'd love modern games to do stuff you couldn't do at home, rather than just a big telly with squillions of LEDs everywhere. The original also had bigger screens, pneumatics etc.

The screens were like 1000% percent brightness and contrast 😆 but the kids were "I want to play on the car one, daddy!"
Where in Bournemouth were these, out of interest?

The 4-player was on the pier and there was a 2-player along the beach. I was surprised as I only ever saw coin pushers and he like there. The one on the pier seems like it's been given a revamp, big screens, House of the dead, three pinballs. It was ok.

Last time I went in the pier arcade, it was rubbish, and that was some years ago, now. Good to hear it's improved a bit.

I would like to say it's ok now but not a lot to compare it to round here. I used to go to Tower Park Super Bowl (1990!) that was a few minutes walk across the bridge. They had Stun Runner, Mad Dog McCree and I lost my Street Fighter virginity there! Also Slots which had Ivan Stewart's Off Road Racing (on topic!) and loads of pinballs, Terminator and Robocop I remember but that could be my old brain failing once again!
