So i thought it would be cool to have a Christmas Tree thread where you can post a pic of your tree(s) !!!

20241129_122347.jpg

As you can see I am absolutely useless at putting tree up , But the wife is worse so its my gig I suppose. Tree is like 15 years old and branches move all over the place , Fart and they move !

Only a bit of fun so does not matter how good are bad they are , Providing they are yours !

Dave.

I don’t claim any credit for our tree, the wife just finished it ready in case grandchildren visit tomorrow …. But we did share the outside lights installation (nothing fancy) which we do every Xmas on the front.

The tree just puts the jukebox in the shade for 5 weeks ( actually it’s often cluttered up with items anyway so rarely gets action! )

We don’t normally photograph our tree !!!
However this pic’ just captures me between my two ‘angels’

mine is going up tomorrow, cant wait

i absolutely love christmas time and spent a stupid amount on gonks and all sorts of decorations one year

if you are in the northwest i highly recommend a visit to Bents which turns into a christmas shop over the festive period, be warned though, you need a deep wallet

Mrs R-Type did a splendid job as always. Going in the loft dangerously using a step ladder and my triceps was my annual contribution...

One of these days I'll get it wrong and end up in a heap I swear.

I fell out of the loft last year. Luckily my fat gut hit the top of the ladder on the way down and slowed the fall. I really wouldn't recommend it though 😐

Managed to get everything out safely this year. I normally decorate the tree whilst my wife does the rest of the house but currently in Bermuda on business so hoping to get back to see it's all been done 😁

I think the whole xmas tree thing is mental. Ours go up no later than 1st December and stay up until first week of January. That works out, over the course of a year, to having xmas trees up one day out of every 10. The Mrs love it all though. We've got 3 trees up. Madness. Mind you, I'd have to say things have moved on for the better since the 1970s. My mother used to hang paper chains from all the ceilings in the house and a whole load of other assorted 1970s tat.

70s / 80s Xmas was great with all that extra tat. Yes, paper chains! Loads of tinsel that is out of favour these days. Snow-sprayed windows.
