Do you love it or hate it? got everything already or a last minute shopper? What's your best thing about it?

I'm in the love it camp, don't get me wrong some part's can be a pain in the ring piece, crazy packed out shops and folks running about like headless chickens. Wrapping stuff ain't a huge amount of fun either, but i still get that wee buzz in me as it starts to get closer

.

Love the cheesy music, stuffing my face, the pressie's and just the general chill out you get in the last few days before hand and after

I'm nearly sorted finding it hard to feel festive though. Prob with the thought of redundancy looming. Got my interview today so will see how it goes. Usually I love Christmas got the tree and decs sorted just a few pressies to go.

Find it pretty dull to be honest. Grumble, grumble, Bah Humbug!

As for am I sorted yet? You're joking! My wages can never be relied on to be on time so it has made it very difficult for me to start. Will be starting and finishing now though.

Over commercialised, all the toys/games are cheaply constructed crap and TV is full of the same old shyte. Apart from that no problems

Don't like turkey, mince pies or Christmas pudding either....

Andy.

I'll take the days off work, but other than that can't really be arsed. I guess that might change though, once our little one is old enough to understand what's going on (he'll only be 10 months old for this one so the concept is currently still lost on him).

As for the food, I'm with you Andy, can't stand mince pies or xmas pud. Turkey's ok, but massively overrated - as John Thompson once said on the Fast Show, "TURKEY??!! It's just a fat bastard chicken!

"

I also have to avoid the radio for a month too, as it drives me feckin nuts when they play the same handful of songs every year on loop. (e.g. Slade, Wizard, Pogues, Cliff Richard, East 17..........urrrggh).

That said, if nothing else it's a good excuse to stuff your face and drink too much.

I was thinking I'd be called a miserable ---- for saying that I hate everything about it...

Coming from a large, poor family, and having no religious beliefs, I am lucky enough not to have been indoctrinated with the ridiculous idea that Christmas is a special time.

I don't over-indulge in either food or alcohol so the only thing it means to me is two days off work.

Christmas begins today for me.
smiley40.gif
Studying over with now (for another 3 months anyway) and I can now open my parcel which arrived Saturday morning, well I will once the kids are in bed. (Thanks again Garry you are a
smiley10.gif
)

Time to start spending time with the family, enjoying myself and playing some games. None of which I have done much of lately. Obviously I have to go to work inbetween which is a bummer, but I do feel a weight has been lifted. Have I passed though?
smiley24.gif
Let's worry about that later.

Xmas decorations are now up and most of the presents bought and already wrapped. I am getting organised in my old age. Well being organised by the missus actually.
smiley36.gif
I just pray she isn't going to the shops AGAIN in the next 3 weeks

xmas was always a bummer for me. because of my birthday being so close to xmas, i always got crap birthday presents
smiley18.gif
all my aunts and uncles would say it was because i was getting something really special for xmas. stroll on xmas big let down, nothing special, all sh*te. so for me, xmas is nowt but hassle. i have my own religion so thats cool, all my family know im s4ite so thats cool. i do try to get into it, but without kids its a no brainer. i did once like it, but that was about 43 years ago, when i didnt know better. i do however wish mankind the best on this day. we seem to forget this day is the birth of gods son. so lets try to remember this day isnt about turkey and bevvy, its about jesus, our saviour. if you would like to know more about jesus and the church google it, and remember a puppy isnt just for christmas its also good for a curry and sandwiches on boxing day too
smiley20.gif
i hope you all have a great xmas, but for me its an indian, some cans, and whatever is on the box

Can't tell you that mate or you'll know what a total boring bastard I am.

Let's just say Andy's clue is pretty warm.

Oh and I haven't got the KFM opened yet Garry, hopefully tomorrow now. Remembered I had to go to relatives this evening as it is my nieces 18th birthday. So a double excuse to get hammered.

Nothing wrong with that (though don't tell Bazfish I said that!) - from what general consensus will have us believe, a solid choice! Clearly I have no personal knowledge on the subject though
