Hey guys,

So my game board has been returned and works great. Checked all the voltages and adjusted correctly.

What I'm unsure of is how to wir the coin mech in correctly.

I've got 2 ground wires, one yellow and one white. What ones go to the coin mech?

The other thing is the dip switches on the credit board. I've found the settings for a space invaders but if I set those it just pays in multipul coins on its own. The board is a field goal though so maybe its slightly different.

One last thing, the service button seems to do nothing. The game has no service mode but it is wired up. Would it be as a free credit button?

Thanks,
Rob

This is the credit board and settings as from the original field goal manual.

Ahh it was right in front of me. I'm not sure how I missed that in the manual.

I have set them correctly now. And it no longer coins up continuously.

I traced the wires back and it looks like the 2 that need to go to the coin mech are the black ground and the white wire.

I had to scan through it a few times before I saw it,as regarding the coin mech, all switches normally short to ground so yeah the black if it's 0v will definitely go to the coin switch and one other. I think you said yellow or white and that there were 2 black wires. I worry with colours sometimes because the norm has changed so many times, I mean yellow now means 12v to me whereas on typical jamma it's pink and I have known it to even be orange way back.
I'd test between the yellow and black and the white and black to see if you have 12v,maybe there's a bulb somewhere near the mech it'll explain the need for 2 blacks and 2 other cables. Either way whichever cable hasn't got any voltage on I'd try on the other side of the coin switch. Again in the manual it shows you how the credit switch is wired in, just check it's actually got some wires on it just in case someone's changed it

Yeah I traced it back and it looks like 8 coming from the coin counter board is the white one and on the schematics it runs to the coin mech switch on C. All powered up and coins are now counted. Although it does take a minute until the game accepts coins.

Thanks for the help. So happy it's now in working order
