The machine looked awful originally, it had been painted a burnt orange sort of colour, and most of it had flaked off anyway so it was like it had a skin disease. IIRR it got a two pack paint job, and was colour matched very well.
Its not an issue, but the original machines are gelcoated. You end up with a different texture, finish and sheen than a two pack paint job. The reason this machine was two packed was primarily because of cost and time restraints. What you see is a very very nice looking machine, but it is a little bit different to standard, its a little bit on the shiny side, originals have much more of a 'silk' finish than a shiny gloss.
I don't want to take anything away from the owner of a stunning looking machine, given all the variables, what was done to this machine was perfectly justified.
It makes me want to look at my computer space pcbs again
