Yes.

Just the power supply has been replaced with a modern one.

The original is simply very poor.

I do however have a NOS original power supply, which came with the machine.

I remember when that machine was a lovely orange colour :)

You are missing the diffusers for the control panel lights though, it looks a bit weird without them.

Still looks a very nice piece, and playable is a bonus. Let's face it, these are supposed to be played not stored in museums :)

Nice buy.

Does that mean the respray is not a perfect colour match then?

The machine looked awful originally, it had been painted a burnt orange sort of colour, and most of it had flaked off anyway so it was like it had a skin disease. IIRR it got a two pack paint job, and was colour matched very well.

Its not an issue, but the original machines are gelcoated. You end up with a different texture, finish and sheen than a two pack paint job. The reason this machine was two packed was primarily because of cost and time restraints. What you see is a very very nice looking machine, but it is a little bit different to standard, its a little bit on the shiny side, originals have much more of a 'silk' finish than a shiny gloss.

I don't want to take anything away from the owner of a stunning looking machine, given all the variables, what was done to this machine was perfectly justified.

It makes me want to look at my computer space pcbs again :)

Oh well ...
Not the end of the world is it ?

I am just happy and proud to be able to add such a historic machine to my collection.

For me it just has a retro feel, and the history of the machine is just so cool. Make sure you submit your machine to this website:

The guy who runs it is really nice :)
