I put my cabs in the conservatory today from the garage. Wife isn't happy but it's freezing in the garage. I left the Afterburner on for 30mins and the screen shrank about 30%!? May have to do some work on the chassis

I've always thought about getting a cab again but it's a bit cold in my shed (mancave) & I'm worried about popping the monitor in the winter.

Haha, I suspected it might be you when I saw the title 'conservatory'.

I need to pop over and look at Daytona DLX again. Can't see that fitting in there

They look happier there.

I couldn't keep cabs anywhere apart from indoors or a dry, heated space although I know that's not always possible. Aged arcade stuff is flaky at the best of times and I just couldn't bring myself to store them anywhere damp and cold.

My conservatorys colder then the garage! Massive it is and totally pointless. Place to dump crap, dry the washing in the summer and keep the drinks cold in the winter.

We have a radiator in there so it's not "that" cold. If you leave the patio door open it ends up the same temperature as the rest of the house but it feels like burning money as the heat is just constantly escaping through the roof

My cabs have been in the consevatory for years heating is on all the time at mine
And the cabs never suffer any condensation
Or damp it never gets really warm in there in winter though

I agree with strykr too cold to use properly in winter and far too hot with all the windows open and fan on in summer
Ours mainly gets used to dry washing and keep junk / kids toys in

Bit of a waste of money really robotech2019-12-21 23:26:54

Mind u i'm to tight to heat the house half the time

Love that classic joke about the guy that won the football pools, used to eat in the house and sh*t in the garden, after wining he had inside toilet fitted and a barbecue now he sh*ts in the house and eats in the garden

Great cabs! I actually use my Sega Saturn just for playing the Sega Super-scalar games (With analogue pad of course).

It's a real shame we don't have basements here in the UK. Would be great to have a subterranean arcade or games room. Especially since houses are generally smaller here.

Still haven't got round to fixing the intermittent issue on Afterburner either!

There may be 2 chassis on their way to tb2000 soon!
