Conversion or real ?? That is the question ............

B board is original from a SF2 CE japan region. C board is original but looks to be modified from a different game. There is a list somewhere of all the different B/ C board types / games but can't find it.
Am guessing it's a Chinese special A board with the sound section sparsely populated and either non working ( sound ) or soon to be?
If so then you got lucky with the B board as a lot of them just look like copies.

That's my CE japan ver.
Labels are the same as yours so I reckon they just wrote over the original x2 eproms for the hyper fighting data and then stuck the original labels back on.
Official Hyper fighting labels even on the Japanese version have the holographic stickers like this one:
I tried selling a Jap CE with a 12Mhz 'dash' A board a couple of years ago for £250 and no takers. Not sure if anyone too bothered as the differences are maybe a couple of name changes for characters?
It doesn't i'm afraid.. just a few differences
- Japanese version is set in 1989. Changed to 'Sometime in the 1990's..' in the US / World Version
- During the Japanese versions intro, Jessica appears on Mike's TV in her underwear. This was removed from the US/World version and replaced with her screaming in the background
- Character profiles are different, ages are adjusted for 1989, measurements are in the metric and characters favourite foods are included.
- There is an different ending with short sentences from the developers in the Japanese version, this was replaced with 'my name is X' in the US / World version

I'm not Cps1 guru and it's only my opinion but it could possibly be a conversion if it's running Hyper fighting. If so it's a pretty good one by the looks of it. If it's the us/euro version it should have mask roms. The C board sticker looks wrong for the Jap version. It does look very similar the CE pictured above tho so i could be talking complete nonsense. Happy to be educated by a cps nut.

Not to me , Other people proper de value them so when it comes to buying / selling it does !

I agree , The sticker on the C board actually belongs to the Audio rom , Unsure why it was placed on the C board !

Don't believe conversions play any differently to original as far as i'm aware so think just a value thing. I had an Area 88 conversion and an original Jap version and couldn't tell any difference. Wish i hadn't mentioned that as always had sellers remorse over that original 😂

And Final Fight! Stokers million dollar dreamed me to get that
I didnt realise i had 2 x SF2 hyper fighting , oh and 2 x SF2 champion Edition !!! The hyper fighting prety much look the same. I will prob trade one or swap !! (One of each)
Also found 6 copies of Final Fight !!
1 x jap conversion (fully working) proper hardware fully working (may sell / trade) and yes it has boobies in it ! Lol
2 x original ones (prob world ones)
1 x bootleg based on original with weird b & c that fits on origjnal cps1.
2 x single board boots.
I need to start and sell my duplicates , i have 300 odd boards and no clue what i got ! I get them and forget i have them. Whats worse is i knlh gave to check in my software and it would tell me. I am just lazy.
