Hi, i have this unit that has a problem with the cpu, now i am waiting to have a ram tester. The problem is that makes normal sound but only can be seen some pixels on screen and then freeze.
Is it possible to buy sideart metal frames to paint it again?img2214.jpg

It looks in really good condition considering the age. I'd be inclined to keep the original paintwork if you can.

Test the DC voltages and reseat all the chips and connectors before you go any further. It should run it's own diagnostics on the RAM, but if it is not getting that far, that could indicate a ROM fault or poor connection between the ROM board and main PCB.

I agree with @cliff_poole the artwork is in good shape, I would just do touch ups where needed. Painting over it will detract from it's value (unless the other sides art is missing maybe?). No one I know of sells metal paint stencils for Defender, there was one guy in the UK who made a set and used them on a few bad condition cabinets but I'm not sure what happened to them, I think he sold them but I've not idea who. I think you can get cheap plastic ones but the results are difficult to get as good as you've already got.
