Still a damn big "well done", the bits I watched his play is awesome, and I honestly can't imagine trying to play any game for that long, let alone Defender ! Earlier posts said he was playing with an ice pack on his wrist etc. Bet he'll sleep well now!

anyhow its still a massive score to achieve and to go (at a guess) another 48-50hrs playtime to beat the WR is a hell of a lot to ask your body to do....

Yeah what a shame, but at the same time what a huge achievement!
I watched for an hour or so, from 29M to 30M, and that was a nail biter. Had a chat with a few folk online there, and was given a couple of awesome site URL's, one of which is THE definitive guide to Defender, so I'll be making my way through that. Can we post links on here?

Todd Rogers was online too, coaching Billy incidentally. Tried to engage him in some Gorf talk, but I think he wanted to play it down in favour of Billys world record attempt, which of course was fair enough.

So yeah, congrats to Billy!

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. I just found this post and wanted to share some stuff with y'all.

Whether this is the highest score or not... it's the highest officiated score. I had 2 online refs, one in person, I streamed through Twitch, had an onsite referee, and saved it to my hard drive.

There are 2 files that were on my hard drive that were corrupted. The program crashed and I'm trying to recover them.

When I quit playing, I realized my wrists were completely destroyed. I couldn't figure out why I was sucking so hard. That was it. I also could have stayed up for another day or two. I wasn't tired. Damn.

When / if my wrists get better, I'm going for the full 80.
