Designing a control panel overlay

Hello forum
I am the least artistic person you have ever met but I suddenly feel like designing my own control panel overlays.
The cabinet is a candy cab with a flat control panel.

Any thoughts, advice or even assistance from graphic artists would be much appreciated.

Maybe you should get inspiration from artwork of your favorite game ?

What about a Neo-Geo red w white lines overlay?

Google is your friend to get ideas.

Try Inkscape, and maybe create a vector file of an existing panel that hasn't been created already.
