Seeing ops Weighing in the 2 pence pices at the end of the day . Made me think ?
Will it go for scrap copper or to the back ?

They will almost certainly recycle the 2p coins back into their change machines.
Once they are full, the surplus will be banked.
They will weigh the coins so they know the amount to exchange for other coins/notes. Weighing them is a lot quicker than running them through a counting machine.
