In the Aviation industry there are so many counterfeit parts its unreal , Lots of planes & lives have been lost through this. Basically they dont care as long as they get money. 100's of planes out there with potentially failing parts that are about to fail , no doubt one will be fatal

Dave.
Shocking, but wouldn't surprise me. If a plane did crash, they always blame the pilot! They will pay out the families, and just carry on. I haven't flown for 23 years. I saw a documentary on airplane maintenance, expecting to see experienced guys in their 60's with white beards, but all young foreign labour!

Haha , yeh its rife with fake parts. There were some recently found and they had to replace them all. Its heavily managed but some still get in the supply chain.

It would not surprise me if post offices are selling fakes as well !

My friend works for a uk plane co
Plane tech ..
he said when cherry pickers unavailable
They use the luggage lifters
And they fall off!
He said it was a large Contributing factor to the Injury’s they sustain.

Faking down the metal exterior stairs was another …

A crushed Pepsi can cut through the calf of a tech at Heathrow blown up from the thrusting jet

I used to be really into the Atari ST scene and dealt with a lot of the groups directly with disks and VHS stuff.

We used to simply sellotape over the stamps and wipe it off and return it back. Blank disks out , games came back etc.

The padded envelopes fell to pieces before we ever got caught for using the same stamps about 2o times.

The good old days !

One day this dodgy packet of VHS videos some how landed at the local post office and address was knacked. The post master was like, I guess this is your's then.

Yes if he liked video nasties or lastest cinema releases the postmaster was in for a

I knew a family who had a wall of vhs
Pirates ,
2 of the latest players for tape to tape recording
Rented of course

And a man in a van who sold the latest
Films for often Amazingly large amounts of money for those times.

The chap was actually convicted for his
Selling on of copies..
And so was my friends dad.
I was Often witness to the seedy underbelly of people handing over cash for new films ..

I remeber ice pirates
And flesh Gordon
But we played spectrum & amstrad
Same house all day long then a film in between ..
for us kids it was a great house to get in
Because of the films and computer games .. literally was the only place at the time I could do either.

Why bother buying stamps, fake or otherwise? You can buy the postage off Royal Mail's web site, and the postperson collects the item for free, and brings a printed address label.

Although I had a lot of pirate stuff/cinema mainly I bought a SH&& load of stuff too. Never did gamewise as had all the automation, pompey pirates , and medway boys stuff anyhow. I pirated a few systems ....

Flesh Gordon, not seen that in a while. I think Flesh Gordon 2 was not too bad, cant remember if that or the origiinal had the "ring" scene in. I used to collect a lot of orginals and did manage to get all the lemon posicle series. In Leicester there was this MASSIVE vhs rental place, which I think stored films for the shops. Once a year they would open up and sell old tapes. Unlike these days they were not searching up the prices, you could get lucky. That is the one think I miss now. The going around car boots and say finding a copy of anything on a hokushin label or extermintaor or a death wish. You just dont get that any more. Big bulky boxes with great covers. not a boring DVD slip !

I had a contact raised by the police at 6AM smashing the door down with his kids in the house, making an example of people who sold video nasties. He stopped after that as upset his family. If you think video nasties are scary would you now let your kids go to a room full of old men and swap computer and public domain stuff, that all we did at computer club . But now I would be the old man ! Micro mart was your friend !
