You can switch off Evri which I have in new listings, do you need to go through all listing that ebay have automatically changed over to simples delivery though?

Also you don't have to use there labels at all, just post as you want and add tracking, stuff the buyer lol

and it gets worse as eBay take yet another step further, NOW removing Address details as a futher push to you using there money making labels
I'm removed buyers name for obvious reasons but thats only part it was showing
I've managed to get the address from going in Print Invoice and more and it bringing up a packing slip that has address on
This is getting bad now!

Getting sick of all the fake corporations like Facebook (Lifelog), PayPal, Alphabet/Google (Memex), Twitter, Gmail, Alphabet/YouTube, Amazon, Netflix, Microsoft, Apple etc with the with Frontmen like Musk, Zukerberg, Bezos, Brin and Page but never mention eBay but I'd include it personally

Whats the Common denominator with them all
Vanguard Group Inc, BlackRock, Inc., State Street Corp and a few more which literally have there fingers in so much now like Tesco, Autotrader  even the company I work for that were in billions of debt and in Bankruptcy 2 years ago
with all the smaller businesses swallowed up by them slowly over the years

Can you still add the tracking number?

Can you still set it to free postage to bypass the simple delivery option?

I have a couple of things in my watchlist from private sellers that still show free postage, unless that just means the seller picks the postage option once sold and eBay charge them for it instead of the buyer.

That one I used there label as it's cheaper than paying at post office but yeah can still add tracking, just what gives the right to dictate how you post, some other items I can save nearly £5 over there label with added Insurance scam so I just use address but this one was first I've seen it hidden

Exactly that, I have many on Free Postage as you add it too the listing anyway but if they hide address completely so you have no option to see it without purchase which could be next, seller pays postage cost, so if you say added £4 on for postage into the item price as you would send 2nd class at PO and they force you to use label at £4.95 that's more money you loose as seller pays

If you have postage separate, I assume ebay set the postage price and the buyer pays what ever that is so I don't know which is best option now but if you box it up bigger than they put and it weighs over how does it work, I need to go through my listing really and see whats going on but before this BS I never had an issue

When you choose the postage options it shows you the upto weight and upto dimensions so you need to ideally have boxed up before listing so you know.

I guess if you end up with it oversize/overweight the courier charges ebay for the extra which they would likely then charge your account for it, it's probably in their site somewhere.

So from what I read from ebay, if I list the item as say a small parcel,up to 1kg and allow buyer to choose/pay. I can then select the courier options that I can do and let's say I can't do an evri drop off I just turn that option off leaving the ones I can eg royal mail ?
Also they appear to be saying that I take a 'Q' code to say the post office(mine says it does evri now) and they scan that and print a label for the parcel at no cost to me ?
Then once in the post I will bear no responsibility for what happens after that and I get paid in 24 hours, is that right ?
I haven't done international sales for many years now and don't know if that's the same or different.

That's about right, short of buyer saying faulty item or not as described I think.

They will give you a QR code which you can show on your phone to scan, same at both post office and evri drop off although it's a but more hands on at evri drop off.

Did some googling and found this interesting.

If you use the recommended parcel size and weight for eBay Simple Delivery, and your item exceeds those limits, eBay will still cover the delivery costs. If you manually select a larger size or weight than recommended and it turns out to be inaccurate, you will be responsible for any additional costs.

So if you change from their recommended and it turns out to be bigger or weigh more they pass on the additional postage cost and any admin charged by the courier.

Yeah I tried doing a listing and everything was fine, the postage option set to buyer pays and small parcel selected gave the buyer 2 options for a small parcel up to 1kg either RM or evri, great. But when you then go to preview the listing then the postage shows 'free delivery' and if you click on the arrow to the right of it, it gave the buyer an option of 'large letter', 'small parcel', 'medium parcel'. So I messaged them and explained exactly what I said above. The listing in preview has since changed but it still says free delivery and if I now click on the arrow to the right of the free postage it tells me that it is standard tracked delivery I can can no longer see the buyers postal options. So for all intents and purposes this leads me to believe that I will be paying for this as it stands.
So I guess I will have to revert to opting out of their delivery service and set a standard RM tracked delivery with the price shown. Disappointing as I know some people prefer an evri drop off because if no-ones home an evri box pick up at the local spar shop is a better option than trekking to the sorting office with everyone else who works Monday to Friday.
I would imagine that we have many people on here that could correct this error lol.

Have you tired looking at it in a private browsing session instead of the preview.

I think I also found when I listed something it didnt have the correct postage straight away.

I delisted everything i had for sale on ebay after having a long conversation with ebay support over how the heck am I supposed to post items above the current limitations and got the whole don't worry we will foot the bill nonsense even though my post office weighs and checks sizes before they will print out any labels and then refuse anything over the limit.

I will post up my chat log later if anyone cares to see it.

would be interested in seeing it

If you list and add postage cost on to what your selling and select Free Post or Buyer pays what ever the heck it is these days, if they going to charge £14.95 for shipping add that to item price and your not paying extra, or ignore ebays label, get address yourself if it's not hidden like mine was though you can still get it from packing slip, then post it how you want as before

LOL'd when you said can I just speak to a person and not a bot and they replied they were a person. I would guess English was not their first language.

If its oversize just use EVRI, you scan the QR code on a terminal in the shop, it prints the label off, stick it on and then get the shop to scan it to confirm received.

They don't weigh or check the parcel size when they scan it.

As long as you have used the ebay recommended postage size then its ebays problem after that, if you change it to anything else from the recommended then they will charge you for the excess charges and admin fees.
