To cut a long story short someone hacked on old ebay account i had not used in about 2 years
the first i hear of it is when i get a ebay fees invoice of £150+ taken from my paypal account

I sorted that and reported ect and never lost the £150
then i get a letter from a guy wanting his £1500 back for the clock i never sent lol (he paid by bank transfer to the scammorz)

Today i get a solicitors letter from a german solicitors based in london which i have not opened and posted as not at this address return to sender ect !!

So i rang ebay and said i wanted to unlock this old account and see whats been happening ,He asked me alot of security questions which i had no idea of the answers to and he kept saying that correct ok yes yes thankyou ,As i was saying no idea ..

There security is crap they were not interested in the takeover of my account

i got access back to my account to find the scammor had sold and got paid for about 5k + worth of german stuff on ebay.de all through bank transfer .

The scammer is clever though. Very niche items and good use of English in the listing avoids suspicion. Just goes to show Paypal is sometimes useful. Never use wire transfer or bank transfer or risk getting stung.
