A local second hand game shop was selling an electrocoin midi with an MVS mobo so I agreed a deal.

It's the grey version from the flyer which I haven't seen too many of. They are usually black unigame machines.

Probably gonna drill a 4th button and keep it as a Neo Geo cab

It's got a vinyl flash on both sides which, judging by the application/neatness, was probably done at the factory

It's also got a plaque with details of the original local operator which is cool

I think I got offered this same cab a fair while back (a few years now) Bridge phonographics was one of the operators visited on the beantin raid a while back.

I'd leave it as 3-button as adding a fourth would be difficult without ending up with some ergonomics issues.

What are the two buttons on the screen bezel?

I'd TATE it, put a game elf vertical pcb inside and leave the rest stock.

I've only ever seen these cabs in the flyers, never in the wild. Seems to be a minty specimen too. Congrats!

Yeah it's lovely condition, slight rusting to the metal bar on top of the marquee but I can strip and respray that

I'm in a quandary now. I bought it to use as a Neo Geo cab but as it's pretty rare and in good condition I'd feel bad butchering it!

It would be a shame to mess it about - the glass isn't what it would have shipped with but I've got a original one that would fit straight in there from a scrapped cab.

I dunno, the glass looks the same as the one in the flyer?

Always nice to see actual cabs seen on flyers
