I have disabled PM and thread notifications until this can be fixed. I am working on it but the changes I am making need firewalls changes which I cannot get actioned until tomorrow.

All,

The issue with the slow forum is the forum software not being able to send email notifications.

this is for any thread that has someone subscribed to it for email notifications as well as PMs.

This email server issue should be resolved later tonight, meaning the forum will be fast again.

I will also be doing a round of patching which will be in seperate site notification threads.

The forum definately seems more rapid now that you've disabled the notifications

It required an infrastructure change which subsequently needed firewall changes.
