Yeh I have had some bad migraines .. with weird vision impairment , and sound distortion too.. really echoey sound, … it’s quite scary when its happening, mine faded away after about 1 hour of relaxing, For the Migraine I needed to be in a dark quite place, only had like 3 times .

Feel bad for those that suffer migraine because they are totally debilitating.

I just have a bit of discharge
When I wake up in one eye ..

And can feel that something is in my eye ! But eye doctor said nothing their just scratched!

Stopped taking eye antibiotic a week ago .. Só will start again I guess

Been a long infirmity for you … I think eyes are so easy to rub when the slightest irritation is present. Unaware you could scratch the surface an eye itch can be as annoying as toothache sometimes

I am a great believer that you only get one set so try wear goggles or some sort of shielding when grinding or sanding and lathe work but I don’t wear glasses as a natural sight correction , I frequently will drill somewhere without eye protection goggles as I think it’s only a quickie pick up drill …. One push hole why search for goggles etc. …. And true to Sod’s Law something flicks out and hits your face or arm maybe? Shit (dust) happens so to speak

Good you are nearly recovered now but it’s clearly slowed you down .. I hate eye irritation as I can’t resist a good hard rub and it doesn’t often help ?? …you have my sympathy as I too got slowed down on my current big project I seem to have trapped a sciatic nerve and my left leg has been agony for over 2 weeks … pain day and night , can’t stand up can’t sit down can’t walk without pain tho it does free up a bit if I get mobilised and ignore the pain… ouch!

Had an awful time with my daughter having like octopus sight for about 7 months for anything closer than abot 1.5 metres. She also stopped being able to see food in front of her. We had an awful time of testing eyes and brain scans we thought she was losing her site. It took 7 months to then disapear by itself and they suspected migranes as the culprit after all other tests came through ok.

She would literally see mulitple images of the same thing, which is impossible for the eye to produce, as that would be just double vision not 5/6 items.

In 2013 I started to get ocular migraines, this was probably due to stress, not enough sleep, living off coffee etc. I was on the motorway and started to see a heat haze in the middle of my vision, I stopped at the services and I remember staring into this visual disturbance and the feeling of anxiety building. Quite scary at the time, so even from my limited experience I know how shitty migraines can be.

When you're getting stuff for your eye, I have tended towards getting preservative free. It just takes another potential 'ugh' out of the equation.

Also, if you are having anything for this kind of thing ... try to get it on prescription, and then try to ensure that it's covered by the pre-prescription payment certificate that you can get from the NHS. That (genuinely) saves you a proper bundle, mate.
