So i have purchased a fair bit of stuff from FBM over the years, but i think you always get a bit of a "feeling" about the sellers, i've had lots of pickups from peoples homes and even had a few people drop stuff off for when they have been travelling by

You obviously get the "i'll send a courier to pick it up with an envelope of cash" type of scams, but this was a new one on me today...

Person sent me a postcode...i always do a quick google maps of it to make sure im going to an actual address

I know my way round Manchester a little bit and this is the back of beyond, with carparks and no residential addresses at all....

I did meet in parking lots too a few times. Some people don't want random strangers from the internet in theyr homes.
I find nothing wrong about it. Just don't carry big amounts of cash with you.wrong

It's probably innocent @kingtreelo but I don't blame you for the caution on this one.

I had this a few years back picking up some cheap stuff meeting "at Sainsbury's" turned out to be two 14 year old kids, still thought I was going to get battered, but that's PTSD for you 🙄

The one i felt most uncomfortable with was a pickup from a women who was on her tod and obviously distressed clearing stuff of the other halves out, one of those awkward situations where you don't know what to do or say, I wish I'd asked if she was alright in hindsight, but I thought it'd be odd too.

i dont mind a neutral meet up, but the postcode given is literally a car park at the back of beyond, and i was going to get my son(21) to pick it up for me

I met one of the guys off here in Supermarket carpark one weekend, was all fine he does jobs at them

Best I had was when I sold Vhs Recorder, asked if I could deliver it, only 6 miles and I paid work £30 a month and could use as much private miles fuel as I wanted, the good old days, So I said yeah no problem, got there and it was a door to upstairs above shop, Massage Parlour, she came to the door in stockings etc o_O, nearly said forget the money and popped in :D

I have, at a motorway service station to buy a TV from the back boot of a car.

The couple selling it turned out to be really lovely. Both were mute so they couldn’t speak, the transaction was done using gestures and lip reading.

This was about 8 years ago now, the TV is still working great.

I have met people that were collecting from me at services on M1 a few times, make it easier for them than trying to find mine, saves some another 20 mins and getting lost

Depends what it is really
