what's your favourite level on any of the outrun games?

on outrun2sp, at one time i really used to like the las vegas level because of all the neon lights and the wet surface. nowadays, i love the space shuttle level because of the shooting stars.

which is your favourite?

on the original, i like level 2 with the archways. i'm sure there are names to these levels but i never remember!

Yes, first stage on outrun is a classic, also like the stage where there are some windmills, not sure of routes etc but it's there somewhere

You pretty much picked my favourites there as well.
I always loved 'space' stuff and shiny lights, so the Vegas level is great, with a good route as well as just looking good, and the shuttle/milkyway level looks nice as you said, but with a good challenge (for me at least..) towards the end especially with those construction barriers !

My favourite OutRun 2 level is the Desert, you basically spend the entire round going sideways with dust flying up - great fun

I haven't seen all the levels on the first game yet though, I'm just not good enough yet

If we're talking about Outrun then best stages are Coconut Beach, Gateway, Old Capital, Cloudy Mountain...

If we're talking Outrun 2 then Palm Beach, Desert,Castle Wall, Ghost Forest, Metropolis, Ancient Ruins, Cape Way

And if we're talking Outrun 2 SP then Sunny Beach, Big Forest, Casino Town, Milky Way, Skyscrapers

I personally prefer Outrun original and Outrun 2.... I sometimes play Outrun 2 SP

Great games!!!

Always loved Cloudy Mountain on original OutRun - Magical Sound Shower really starts kicking the groove in by then too (if you're good at the game).

Autobahn is a great final stage too when all the trees are barrelling past and you're charging to the finish line..

And of course Coconut Beach is legendary..

The original is still my favourite version of OutRun

ooooh, any bit where the road tilts on outrun2...... how good does it feel?? man, if only there's a hydraulic version of the game where the seat moves.

how good is that level?? it just looks so different and then you go through the tree that's been split down the middle, and you've got those felled logs that's creating a blanket overhead, and you've got the little pockets of light shining through. genius!

before, i would agree totally 100% with you on magical sound shower. recently though, passing breeze for me is the preferred tune of choice. i wonder when it will be splash wave?
