Bought and Ice Cold Beer remake that was having some issues. Here's how i got it to work nicely.

1) Updated bios (v9) and firmware (v44) to latest versions using the mobile app.

2) Dismantled the Led back board and routed out 3mm extra clearance at each side to stop the motor blocks from jamming. The original design does not have enough tolerance here in the channels

Before

3mm slot added at each side 15mm deep

After

3) Added 3 t-nuts and #6 1 1/2" bolts for securing the backglass bar instead of wood screws. (The t-nuts should be 102mm from the front edge)

4) Added 3 #6 1/2" hex machine screws to each Leg leveller T-nut to stop them from being knocked out and result in wobbly legs!

5) Greased & lubricated both screw drives, bar slides & front bar.

Job done! Great game :)

Mine was having issues with the ball dropping off the bar. The bar seemed pretty straight. I changed the ball bearing to 16.5mm
Doesn't seem to affect play but mine works great now.

I would have bought one to see what could be done but I just don't have space for anything new, updating software with apps would put me off bothering though, don't wanna anything with that stuff, I like old stuff I can repair

I had the same feeling but wasn't willing to take the risk more fool me, hope everyone that got one does what mypinballs has done and maybe even a wee thank you to him as to be honest he didn't really need to post what he had done to make these a great deal.
Cracking game by the way.

Not sure if they just put in any old sized ball in these they had lying about, but the correct size (from the original) is 5/8" which is 15.875mm

I have a big bag full if anyone need one

Cheers :)

I posted my work so it's here for anyone else to use as a guide. Hopefully it comes in useful. Done a few things like this previously that are on here. I could also update and sort out other peoples game boards if they need assistance . Its only 2 bolts to remove the entire panel. I think most of the ones available went to europe though.

The idea for mine was to get the game working nice, play it for abit, then rent out privately or maybe sell it on. Thats what i said to Chris when i met him etc. Unfortunately, some people seem to think i was just offering the broken one for rent/sale again so this post also helps with that as well. lol

Possibly, there might be some spare game board assemblies that surface later aswell, as each game had a full spare game panel with it to. Maybe these could be used to build wall mounted or scratch cabinet games in the future once they've had the same treatment updates wise?
