Hey all,

Ok, so with all this sh**e weather, anyone got any flood/water damage?

My relatives in Kent missed it, however many places nearby did not:-
Yalding, Maidstone, etc.

I know a few people on here are from the Maidstone area.... :-(

BTW, hope everyone had a great Xmas!

Cheers,
DaveO.

My workshop was threatened. Had to go down on Christmas eve and lift everything off the floor but it didn't quite get in, was about an inch away.

my front porch suddenly has devolped a leak, after 15 years, luckily no cabs in there, but still a pain in the arse,as it's too windy/wet to get on the roof and fix it

Fences down, gate broken, and worst of all a hole in my roof big enough to drop an EDOT through where the ridge tiles and about a dozen others were blown off - totally impossible to get a roofer out over Christmas and New Year so the bad weather today is just making it all worse.

Still, rainwater is a lot easier to clean up than flood water so i still consider myself lucky compared to those whose houses were flooded out, i cant imagine what that must be like...

The River Avon finally decided to take a look inside my resto workshop!!

All of my gear is off the floor so it's no big deal but it likes to leave it's silt/sludge behind so the power hose will be flat out shortly!

It's pretty hairy now James.

The river is roughly 15" from mums conservatory door.

The next 24 hours are crucial. The river has peaked from yesterdays rain so it all depends what we get over the next day or so. when the river starts to recede it does go pretty quick which is certainly on our side. After tomorrow the outlook is dry for roughly 10 days.
