Friday 10th Dec - COD:zombies night

Hi all

We're after a night of Z mass-murder again tonight. At the mo it looks to be kick-off at 21:00 and if we end up with more than 4 players (max for zombies) then we can play a private group or team multi player of the normal game.

If you're interested please post back here and let me know your gamertag, or just PM me your gamertag or add my forum nick as a new Live friend and include your forum nick or real name in the message. So many options!

And if you can't make it tonight, don't despair; we've gotten quite good in the past fortnight at actually making regular sessions so there'll be plenty more to come. The gameplay is fun, but nothing beats the teamspeak conversation. ALL the secrets come out under the pressure of a Z onslaught!

Yep it and many more have happened since then. Usual start time is either 9 or 10pm, add Tim to your friend list as he's usually on there If we get 4 or under it's Zombies (360 COD Black Ops), more than 4 then it's a private multiplayer game.

Hiya. The first post in this thread lists my XBL ID (it's a sekrit test to see if people would be any good at Z's - if they don't get the tag then they're gonna get slaughtered

)

But my tag is trmatthe and I see you've found the main list. I'll add you when I go on-line next (or vice versa) and we'll get a game set up.

The main games du jour are:

Call of Duty: Black Ops (generally Zombies - map "Five" in case you've not unlocked it yet, google for 3arc unlock) or private COD:BO matches as Dan says.

Call of Duty: World at War - again the Z maps as those tend to be the most fun.

We were looking at a driving game a while ago but never reached consensus. I think a couple of us now have DiRT2 and it's also available used so should be nice and cheap, so we may end up with that being the driver of choice. We used to play a fair amount of XBLA Outrun2, but everybody got so hacked off with me winning all the time they petitioned Microsoft to take the game out of XBLA marketplace

Or it got removed from XBLA due to licensing reasons.

I prefer the first explanation; I'm epically sh*te at games as you'll see once we've played the first few matches, so I have to trash-talk online as my gameplay can't speak for me!

Will make sure that any prospective matches are posted up in here so everybody gets to hear in time. Subscribing to the thread is probably a good idea so you get notifications, but I'm pretty sure once you've played a few with us and not turned out to be a random internet nutter (don't take that personally - there's just tooo many of them out there

) then you'll end up one of the SMS lists so you get texts letting you know if any ad-hoc game is being planned.

As a bit of a backgrounder, DannyP is subtly implying that I may not be the most accurate schedule-keeper in the world, so if you get a message from me saying "I'll be online in 5 mins" then I may be upto 6 or 7 minutes from being online! Or more accurately I may be online that day or I might not be, and he's basically telling the truth There appears to be some universal conspiracy that I get nailed with work or something about 30 seconds after agreeing to a match in 5 minutes.

Quoted for truth! You'll find out who Smythe is quite early, as he'll be the guy with 10,000 credits yet he'll be refusing to activate the lift doors (250 credits) because "I've got no money and I did it last time"

I'll leave you a few games to identify the foibles of some of the other players as to explain it all would ruin the fun of wondering why you've just spent 5000 points during the game but have ended up with a pistol and a knife whilst the guy not resuscitating you has a million points and a Ray Gun

They are excellent evening sessions though and are very effective at burning off workday stress. Hope to see you online soon.
