Gameroom 3 is built! Galaxian3 assembly has started!

This is awesome. I got into VACing about the time Nuno originally dismantled the theatre and had checked back every so often for a couple of years, but was always wondering if it would ever be playable again. Not doubting his commitment, just the sheer scale of the project.

But it's definitely on the home run now and is an absolutely epic project

Truly an outstanding thread; from 2007 no less! I have never seen one of these in the wild and I cannot imagine there are many (if any?) still out there working. I guess many would have been scrapped?

yeah most got scrapped. I have played one bitd - super super awesome. I would LOVE one!

I played one on my stag night - we went to Smilin' Sam's in Nottingham followed by Rock City. Sadly I wasn't all that impressed.

While I absolutely can't question his dedication to the cause and outstanding effort, I can't help but think he's utterly mad. To dedicate such a huge amount of space to a single game, one that he's never going to be able to sell in a hurry when he get's bored of it.

BUT, like I say, absolutely astounding job!!

I remember seeing him at Arcade Warehouse when he picked up that Superbug machine

So cool to buy the machine he played as well. It really is something to play a machine in an arcade and then buy the same machine and own it, I love the fact I played my Chase HQ in Skegness and now it's here

Took me a about a year and £300 for a non working machine to just tempt the owner to sell it and not scrap it like the rest of his machines, non one had ever bought a machine from him some of his staff told me.

Awesome post!
Galaxian 3D was cool!!! I remember the one in the Troc in London (can't remember when, mid 90's maybe???).

Can't believe they managed it, mammoth task!!! Maybe he should have just made do with the PS version....
