The pick up and play style of these GBA games naturally lends itself well to playing on a cab.

Running mister on a mister to jamma then playing gba core.
Many titles migrate very well indeed.

the GBA has some great titles, i missed out on it at the time, but a lot(ie. nearly all) have now been remastered by Nintendo for the newer consoles, still fantastic games though

I have one that I bought on ebay with LCD/backlit screen a year ago. Only just tried it and was enjoying Final Fight and within 5 mins, it "popped" and went off. Now when turning it on, the power comes on and then straight off. No idea what's going on. Retrosix one (GBA) 😭20251231_090607.jpg20251231_090644.jpg

It has the USB-C battery mod. After it stopped working, I took out and tried batteries but same thing happens.

Sorry to hear that.
I’m going to just use batteries
Because it could be A faulty battery charger that shorts the screen. Just adds another possibility for something to malfunction.

I could take a look at adding a screen for you if you would prefer than doing one yourself.

Will need to get one or you get one.

I don’t take responsibility for the screens for I do not make them.( Hope mine don’t pop to soon 😳 )

Power on and then instantly off is a short circuit, most likely on the motherboard. If it still does it with the lcd unplugged that will confirm it's a short on the main board, if not then it's the screen.
Yeh exactly …
Will just try an original screen in it …

I don’t trust them usb chargers
