Game Now in Administration

Just been officially announced on news sites, it looks like Game/Gamestation has filed for administration! Possibly stores may close on Monday!

Damn, that is a shame. Another piece of the high street buys the dust

No loss on Game, but Gamestation will be missed. Especially where I am. Those guys knew what they were talking about, were friendly and actually cared. Game however was a different matter. Vertically all my consoles and titles have come from Gamestation in Taunton.

Think about all the distributors and publishers this lot owe money to, that they are not going to get.

This lot used to only take game stock on sale or return AND wanted me to pay to 'have shelf space'

in their stores to sell it on.

I had a look in the London Victoria Station shop this morning, a lady came in and bought a gift voucher!?! I really wanted to say "are you crazy lady, you probably won't be able to spend that after the weekend" But she was in mid purchase at the till with the guy who seemed to be doing a fine job and felt rather sorry for him.
