Work has just started on my barn. Footings in and mini walls built.
I have 60 sheets 100mm thick of that celotex stuff. Not looking forward to fitting it inside the walls and ceilings.
Sounds like it will be a nightmare. Your conversion looks good.

Pretty sure the guys that did mine used a standard saw to cut the stuff if that helps...

Initial cutting after measuring up was with a normal saw, its just the going to put in the gap and finding its too large still and then not possible to resaw, so the knife comes out.

19ft long and 9ft is a really good size. My cabs are in a 13ft x 7.5ft space - and the 7.5 width is not quite wide enough to run cabs up both sides of the room - I reckon 9ft would be just about perfect.

I've recalculated and it's more like 17 ft long by nearly 8 ft wide approx. I think I can have cabs up both sides with a walkway in the middle, however I have a bar billiards table which is enormous

So I've worked out I can probably get most of my cabs in there with plenty of room to move, bar a missile command cocktail cab which I will probably need to sell. The workbench might need some thought, but that is pretty essential.

I don't want to be in a situation where it is all crammed in, and I can hardly move

I applied a mist coat to the plaster to seal it, once it was dry.

Over the last couple of days I have spent the evenings painting the ceiling and walls.

Hard PVC flooring should arrive this week, so I'll get that fitted at the weekend. Electrician is due back at the beginning of September to connect and test. Almost there now!

Looking really good. Getting to the pointy end now

So, did the cab get a mist coat too ;)

Keep up the good work!

Slightly disappointed as I thought this would be completed this weekend. But my electrician had some issues with a part so I will have to wait until next weekend to get this finished.

However, I finished the flooring yesterday, and all the electrical prep work was done - armoured cable was hooked up to the consumer unit in the garage, sockets were done, light cables were prepped, fire alarm was installed. I also put a security sensor in, just in case an idiot breaks in :)

Cheers Chris, I was looking for your photos to see your progress, but couldn't find the thread?

I'm glad it's nearly done now, as I'm totally broke

Getting the machines in there is going to be a struggle, especially with the bar billiards table, which is heavy as hell.

I'll need to get a few friends round to give me a hand

Hopefully should be able to get more machines in there after Saturday, if all goes well with the electrician. I also think that it might be a bit cramped so either need to sell some machines or try and get the best layout possible
