I'm thinking of getting a. Cheap namco point blank and get rid of the insides( but still keep the boards) but keep the CRT monitor in there and get aim trak light guns dismantle the namco and Aaimtrak light guns and use the boards of the Aimtrak in the namco gun but I was wandering is there a way to connect the pc to the CRT if not i will have to use a TFT (LCD) monitor instead

Short answer is yes, he easy way is to get an ArcadeVGA card, the cheaper way is to get an older vid card and use soft15khz.

The problem with the aimtracks though is you have to be a decent distance away from the screen for them to work the best.

Oh, even cheaper is to just buy the guns and use them on a PSOne with all the Point blank games and just convert a scart lead (or pick up a CRT TV for nowt).

as zed said, get a cheap ps2 and you get point blacnk 1 2 3, time crisis 1 2 3, time crisis project titan, jesse james gunfighter, and theres a few more I think.

i run a pc mame and soft 15khz, and have a scart - jamma adaptor for the ps games,

Ive got all these running in a cab with the older aimtrack guns, if i was to do it again, (which i will when I get the cash) i'd splash out on the new aimtrack with recoil. im pretty sure it works with the ps as well.

Its really simple to hack in a footswitch to the aimtrack/guncon (same shape) guns, ive got a thread about it somewhere.

No need to get a cheap ps2 (non slim)we already have one in the loft including a ps1
But knowing me I'd rather rather use roms as I prefer the old arcade graphics rather than the ps2 enhanced graphics

I see your point, but pb 1 2 3 and time crisis 2 and 3 with scanlines are pretty damn close to the arcade tbh. and only pb2 is emulated correctly in mame.

Ah right
To make life easier for me I was thinking of trying to add a time crisis pedal to a point blank but It would make my life easier instead of spending a lot if time trying to track down one is to get a time crisis 2 single as there is no space in our gameroom to fit the twin
