Bought a couple of bits off members and decided I would just take the bank holiday and use it to go for drive up the country and so glad I did!

Met 4 absolutely top fellas I’ve spoken to on here for a few years and got to see some great collections and have also been inspired to take on some restoration work after seeing a master at work.

The Martins are fantastic and give a great service but everyone should get out there once in a while and meet the guys that make this hobby so interesting.

Great day!

I’ve always enjoyed meeting other collectors in any field of Arcadia - many have visited to purchase machines or parts over the years while a few I have delivered to also.
Sadly I don’t attend events as my life has been the real event without the need to go to arcade clubs or too many trade shows now.
I think most who came here were made welcome with a tea or coffee and because I can talk for England they frequently get a detailed insight in to things we have experienced in our many years in the industry , I recall before I enrolled on here and J+ I hadn’t heard of such forums till Forcefulfil bought a midway invader here then some time later I visited him to deliver another cab or two and was very impressed with his ‘underground cave’ 😁

Nice idea if time allowed but I notice some users here are amazingly close by yet never meet in person . I no longer do house calls for pinball problems or even pool reclothing now and slowly disposing of my last few cabs and parts so may meet one or two more one day?
I often recognise people I post to as members here and some are happily regular buyers of eBay vintage bits .. thankyou to any of you who fit that ( one above ^ ) I find fruity collectors always seem to fill their boots with obsolete stuff !
and a couple have become friends who call past just to visit now via mpumecca forum.

Wish I was still a bit younger with the optimism of many I’ve met it’s great to hear the home arcade gamesroom projects that are planned and get completed and often I see a game I sold in that summary ( not sure but a ‘ chase hq’ in muddy’s recent video shown here may have been one he had off me some years ago? )
Bit sad the Warrington retro arcade seemed to close? as when he picked up the ‘Hyperdrive’ machine he gave me some free gift voucher admission tickets still just adorn our fire mantelpiece. as covid restricted the opening quite drastically.

You may notice my posts are often lengthy too l o l …….. so imagine chatting live . ? face to face ( maybe some people miss a scheduled appointment as they get stuck here longer than they plan to? 😁) sorry !

But my feedbacks often say ‘nice man and very helpful ‘. I often take time to explain fitting instruction with new spare parts I sell by post !

Anyway it’s bedtime now … goodnight all !
