This is very sad news. Francesco was a great technical mind and he'll be sadly missed by everyone. The forum wont quite be the same without his input into the many technical threads here.

His family must be devastated at their loss.

I'm Italian like him, I didn't know it personally but I exchanged with him hundreds of messages and e-mails since I knew him last year , last message from him is dated last 28 February.He was a very disposable guy and a electronics expert, he gave me a lot of advices on how repair boards, recently I lended him the 68000 Fluke POD for some Out Tun testing (results posted on this forum), he repaid me with two 27C160 EPROM and his extreme willingness.I can't believe he is not anymore among us.I'm really sad today since I will greatly miss him.

hi Alpha1, I do not think is necessary a donation to the family, surely you must keep alive the memory of Francesco and of everything that has given us:

competence, professionalism, loyalty, etc. ........

All of us who live near his home, and with Francesco felt almost every day we will update you in case you need help from everyone.

and as the years go on we stress over non-working cabs and minor disputes, that is the way of the internet...

sometimes you need reminding that this is just a hobby and that real people are involved, not just names on a forum but real people with families and lives that actually matter and when they are gone they are really gone.

I didn't personally know Francesco, but hopefully his family will take some comfort from the fact that he touched so many peoples lives in such a positive way - nothing will really help them at a time like this but hopefully a few years down the line they will be able to reminisce and laugh at his trivial little hobby and someone will click on this thread and they will feel pride...
