This was a nice easy fix.
Gorf has been intermittently dropping red, which completely went the other day and would not come back.
I dragged it out today to take some interior pics for dave o and thought I'd take a look at the video.
I started by swapping the red and green input on the connector to the monitor (which comes from the RGB board).
Red was back but green was kinda gone. So I assumed that the monitor was ok. I swapped the red and green back. Red was back but incredibly faint (almost non-existent - just about dark gray).
I tried re-seating connectors and the daughter cards on the monitor, but this didn't change much, I pulled the connectors out of the housing and took a look, they weren't very shiny so I decided to snip and re-crimp some new connectors.
These had a much snugger fit when I re-connected the housing to the monitor daughter card.
Turned the machine on and hey presto red is back with a bang (not literally). Had a quick game just to test it and managed to bag myself 42,730 for my troubles (on jochen's kit)
I have had so many fixes on this machine by just snipping and re-crimping connectors, I've probably done nearly all of them now.
