Grounding

Hi, when you ground arcade buttons, the diagrams that I've looked at normally have three terminals on the button. Mine have two. What's the protocol for grounding gold leaf buttons?

Shouldn't matter which way they're connected I would think, I use sanwa buttons (not entirely the same I know) and they don't care so long as a contact is made when the button is pressed. If anything, I make sure the ground is connected to right side terminal of the button on all of them, so it's consistent.

I assume it's OK to skip a connector for length reasons when grounding?

Thanks guys, that helps a lot. However, I have another problem now. The buttons fit a 4.8mm crimp, but the joystick has much bigger connectors. Would I be ok to make some extensions and connect via male to female crimps once I found out what size I need?

If anyone knows what size crimps would be needed for this, that would be awesome. The joystick is a Mag Stick if that helps.
