Thanks to my inability to deal with motion sickness, the nausea and headache have now cut in from 6 hours solid gaming so, I've taken a forced time out. So far, I am loving it. So much you can do off the bat and the story so far is actually keeping me interested enough to not skip the cut-scenes. Performance is okay too (ps3) while playing but noticeable slowdown in cut-scenes.

Any one else had a tinker yet?

I watched a couple of youtube videos at work today, and when walking home I daydreamed of car-jacking my way instead.

I've torched a sports car that was parked in a shady part of town, held up a shopkeeper, gone off-roading in the middle of nowhere, eavesdropped on some hilarious conversations and loads more. The best bit was crashing into the back of someone who told me in an English accent that I was a "f***ing moron"

I don't remember the last time I booted up a game on the PS3 or Xbox 360.
I normally only use the PS3 to watch videos and Blurays, and the 360 for HD-DVD.

Maybe this is one game I should actually both investing in

.

Just found a PS3 copy of GTA4 - didn't even know I had it - really should pay a more attention to console games

Have you been into a movie theatre yet to watch a movie? If not then I'd strongly recommend it, if only to see the preamble before the main feature begins...

Fantastic game though.

Hmm, that's what they want you to do!

The numbers are mind boggling - £170m to produce, predicted £500m in first week alone.

Not my cup of tea but fair play to them!

That really sounds like opportunistic media sensationalism to me. So someone get's mugged and happens to have a copy of the new GTA V on him. They just about managed to mention that his watch and mobile as well - which, let's face it, was probably what they were after!!

I'm really despising the media these days! I could rant on about stuff they were reporting yesterday but it's way off topic for this so I won't

So I got around to playing this today, aaaand my eyes hurt, I can't decide whether it's cos I'm a PC owner or that it looks like a PS2 game, low res jaggies with low ass framerate at times, if I wanted that I would be on an arcade machine!

Oh and for anyone that has played a GTA game before, it's just more of the same.

Despite finally owning a PS3 aquired a few months ago, I'm waiting to see if they do bring this out on the PC, for the above mentioned reasons. After gaming at high res for years on end, the few games I've played so far on the PS3, whilst enjoyable, (Ninja Gaiden 3 and Yakuza 3 so far), I can't help but notice the graphics quality at times.

He'll need to be pretty nimble once inside the airport/army base perimeter as he'll get an instant 3-star rating and a big chunk of the LSPD on his tail! I've managed a jack a plane a few times and the view of game world from up high is amazing. Even more fun is jumping out of the plane at 10000 feet without a parachute!
