Got a guide dog coming to stay with us, companies or people can pay to name them sometimes......."Thank you for agreeing to foster Sonic for us between 2nd-6th October. Sonic is a Labrador " Least will be easy to remember, love to know who named him or her.....

Everyone on here knows she’s really a blue hedgehog disguised as a Labrador dog..

Sonic the guide dog does have a nice ring!

Great that people adopt and train these dogs to be such a help to people with sight impairment… the trainers too deserve a little respite from time to time . Very committed folk knowing they eventually need to pass that loved animal to somebody in need …. Well done for offering Sonic a short holiday break.

Yes we trained Paco from a puppy till he was passed back to finish the end of his training , and is now a fully trained guide dog down in exeter. It was heart breaking indeed when we dropped him back at the centre. We have decided to have a break from that and do the holiday sitting instead. We get repeats which is nice to have same ones regularly.

Oh bless , I have had labbies all my adult life and they are the kindest , nicest dogs ever. Mine has absolutely no road sense at all so he would just pull someone straight in front of a bus !! Maybe if Andy Burnham was blind I could offer my dog as his guide dog :) lol.

Sadly he is not good and it breaks my heart that in reality we are not going to have him for long I dont think. We lost his brother exactly 3 years ago this week to cancer too. 3 months after that the one in the picture got it too but not as aggressive so we managed to save him.

Dave.
