Gyruss Build

Initial Thoughts:

Hi Guys!
As I'm sure you know my dream cab is Gyruss.
Its come to the point where I don't think I can actually buy a cab over here, so I'm looking at doing the next best thing....
I'm gunna try an build one!
This is the first cab Ive ever attempted to build so this will be a sssslllloooooooowww process...
Has anyone got a Gyruss cab they could take some measurements off for me?
Or does anyone know where I can find some plans/measurements online?
The searches Ive done so far have come up a little short...
Is there any advice from the cleaver chaps out there who have gone down this road them self's?

Any advice you can offer would be greatly appreciated

Just as well you found out the cab is different from the Atari Euro ones, what a PITA it would be to find out none of the bits you get actually fit if you reproduced it.

I noticed that myself, Ill check out the vid shortly and start to make some plans up.

Don't get to excited about me posting them up.....

They wont be the sexy CAD plans you see, I'm more of a pencil and back of a beer mat kind of guy

defo a good thing we found out it was different as me and Otto where after that cab as a joint venture in the hopes to make it a Gyruss

but having said that it would be ideal to get rough measurements from yours to give us a starting point as im able to calculate the differences with a starting point at hand

Give me a few days and I will measure it up.

I have a NOS monroe stick if you want it for your project, it is very similar to the Gyruss stick from the outside only slightly longer. These were used on Time Pilot cabs, send me a PM if you are interested.

I doubt you will ever sell it but would you be kind enough to gimem first refusal on it if you ever decide

this build is purely for OTTO and after doing one for him I doubt I will have the energy to do another
