Opening this bank holiday weekend is a new addition to The Four Quarters bar - an amazing video game console installation from yesteryear. The Hand Baked Arcade, as seen at many music festivals such as Glastonbury, Glade, Bloc Weekend and countless nightclubs and bars across London and the South-East over the past 10 years, is now calling the new upstairs space at The Four Quarters home!

Running from Friday the 22nd August to Sunday 31st (for times and accessibility please check the Facebook event page) there will be a large range of machines available to play. Nintendo NES, Super Nintendo, N64, Sega Master System, Mega Drive, Dreamcast, Saturn and Atari 2600 are all available along with many classic games, including the likes of 8 player Bomberman and Mario Kart on rotation on the 6ft projector screen!

This unique victorian-era space in the eves of the building is a lovely, cosy environment that will remind you of the best gaming attic of your dreams! Included in the £3 charge to access the space is free console gaming and table service, meaning you can order your drinks and have them bought to you while you relax and socialise in Peckham's best new bar.

I went there on Saturday evening and the place was good fun. It was extremely busy and well worth the journey.

I couldn't beat the high score on asteroids even after playing maybe 20 games.
Still I think the alcohol had a bit to play with it.

Cheers,
Steve
