Just joined forum, long time collector of retro consoles and handhelds, now looking to build an arcade in my garden. Until then I still have my handhelds...

Any big handheld collectors out there?

Cheers

Awesome collection.

I have often toyed with collecting these. Starting with all the ones I had bitd before my mum gave them to charity!

Thanks. I also started this way, with a Grandstand Astro Wars which was the first electronic game I was bought when I was a kid. There was a time you could pick many of these up for under a tenner, but prices are going up and up, and the working ones are slowly fading away :(

So get them while you still can!

Great collection!
Sadly I've sold most of my Nintendo Game & Watches.
I still lust after various handhelds though - Zaxxon, Tron & Scramble being top of the list.

That's a lovely collection.. Love the Tomytronics, I had quite a few of those when I was younger but sadly not got any of them anymore.

I see you have quite a few consoles there, but do you collect them as well or just handhelds..?

Great collection, nice to see another tomy tronic collector on here.
And thomas tank engine.

The TomyTronic games are still fairly common and seem to last longer than other games, less moving parts I suppose. The Thomas Tank was the hardest to find, good spot!

My only wish list item is an Entex Turtles at the moment, and a Zaxxon would be nice.

Cheers!

I have the regular consoles, nothing remarkable apart from maybe the Vectrex, which is also my favourite piece of hardware. I'd like to find some of the rarer machines, like a NEO GEO MVS, PC Engine, but moved onto arcade cabinets now!

The handhelds are stilly favourite though, such great designs.

I have a TRON and a Scramble, both can still be picked up on eBay, TRON is a bit rarer and can be a bit beaten up looking due to smoked plastic case. Game & Watch has been almost impossible to collect for a few years now, everyone wants silly money for them. I still have my original Donkey Kong dual screen though - just like a DS.

Funny you should mention both of those as they are the main two I collect... very close to a complete Neo Geo collection and my PC Engine addiction is spiraling out of control.

Don't suppose you're interested in any of these are you?

The Vanity Fair is a version of Galaxy Invader that was reproduced by a whole host of manufacturers including CGL, which is what most of us in the UK will have seen (the white version).

I don't have the blue one so would be in interested at the right price, if you DM me with what you are looking for?

The LCD is not really my bag - too many out there to collect, so I focus on VFD stuff.
