Awesome work pal. Looks fabulous. Cannot wait to see the finished game.

I love both HO and SHO and also favour them over OR. Not sure why, if I'm honest, just do. I loved experiencing the rolling hills of OR but feel the exhilaration of speed is much better felt in SHO.

Cheers Neil, yeah you're right, playing SHO the feeling of speed is tremendous and you feel like you could crash at any second, proper white knuckles when the timer is getting low!

That's a lovely looking machine. I played the red sit down one at the American Adventure theme park as a kid. The Intro music still gives me goose bumps.

Looking like it's getting some 5 star treatment.

Thanks Tom, it's getting my version of 5 star, won't be a full minty nut and bolt restore but I don't think it needs it. Can't wait to get it finished now and stood next to Space Harrier

Nice little project rich it looks in really good condition as it is to be honest mate
maybe the photos make it look better than it is in real life
i love hang on it's a great game spent a lot of my youth trying to play the full sized red one in Weston super mare on family holidays
And played it to death on the master system as one of the built in games
I think super hang on is a better game though the sound track is ace I have allways preferred it to out run
It's one of the best looking cabs with the motorbike fairing style top peice housing the monitor

Wish I hadn't sold the one I restored but I really wanted to restore a pinball machine at the time and could not afford both
Thems the breaks I guess no time for arcade stuff and restores anyway with the kids and work so it's a good job I don't have a house full of cabs anymore

I think that may have been Smarty's cab at Revival mate, I played a lot on it over that weekend and managed to 1cc it. I also think it's a nicer game to play over Outrun, I'd like one at some point but I just don't have the room.

Ah yeah, you're right, it was Frazer's Enduro Racer and Smarty's Hang On - seeing it in person again I forgot how huge the full size cab is, probably bigger than Space Harrier so glad I've got the smaller version. You're always welcome to pop over if you fancy a game any time Ian

Yeah, me and Martin were playing it quite a bit.

Do you recognise the guy playing it in the below pic? He was hogging the machine all weekend!

I'd love to come over for a session on it mate, bear in mind I do tend to play some games for hours! If you are up for that then I'd love to spend some time at Chunksin's arcade.

nice

i was offered one of these many years ago and a road blasters for £150 each hahaha

Whaaaat?! that must have been MANY years ago, the price of everything now, did you take either of them? Road Blasters is another of my favourite games from my youth, we used to go to France on holiday and the ferry had that and Rastan, spent most of my holiday money by the time we arrived

yes was many years ago late 90s i took 2 lordsvale neo geo cabs instead one green one red as i was trying to get my 50/50 profit share off the ground , also took a table top cab , but there was no more room in the van , its something i have always regretted leaving them behind , Damn cabs were so cheap back then
