Hello all, I have managed to get my hands on a Hantarex Polo 28 Star - however the information I seem to be able to find out it is quite limited (not seeing much for the Star variation) - for example the diagrams don't match/I can't find the V-Lin pot.

A few questions:
- Is the 'Star' 31khz? - it seems to work OK on my Sega Naomi which is set to 31khz
- Can anyone point me to any documentation for the Star version?
- Can I fix the squashing at the bottom (vertical linearity?) / where to find the V-Lin pot (see photo)
- I've tried the various adjustments and can't straighten out the left side either (see photo)
- Is high pitched noise and/or cracking sound with no signal considered normal (with a signal it's fine)
- Would you recommend fitting a TDR to this screen to account for a Naomi Netdimm or PC enough time to boot, to minimise the time it has no signal

Any advice would be great or if anyone in the Essex/Suffolk area is willing to do some maintenance on this (obviously for trade or money!)

Thanks for the link - I finally found RV4 on the diagram - but it doesn't mention V-Lin - is this definitely right? You'll have to excuse my ignorance as I'm still learning.

looking at the first photo, as @gunblade says, looks like the pin cushion and trapezoid pots may need adjusting.
Are you showing the entire image on screen, or is the right side disappearing off screen.
Make sure all the display is showing and if wider at the bottom on both sides adjust the trap first. After that if the side bulge in or out then adjust the pin cushion.

Thanks - I have tried lots of variations using the control module - I luckily have the long cables to make it a little easier to see too. Sadly it can't seem to fix this. I'll try again tomorrow though as my brain its a little fried now.

I'm most worried about the v lin, as its in a place that I'm really not comfortable trying to get to. I don't know how much charge will be in that area even if I keep turning it off, adjust and then on again.

You can use special non-conductive and non-magnetic trimmers in various lengths for adjusting them.
