Are there any Heart of Gaming of regulars on here?

Last week their Facebook page said that they were reopening today but updates on their social media accounts seem very scarce. Actually I don't have SM accounts so it may be that the info's there but just not public?

Anyway I've been promising my daughter for months that I'll take her back there (after I went to Arcade Club without her) we've just been waiting for it to reopen so, In short I would just like to know if they're open tomorrow?

I'd be really grateful if somebody could shed some light on this.

Thanks

I believe I saw somewhere that they are reopening today.

There are some contact details on their website not sure if they’re up to date but worth giving them a ring.TWB2019-10-04 20:35:00

Thanks TWB,

Have tried all with no success.

They posted Monday morning that they're opening today but nothing since, I'm a bit wary of traveling there on the back of that so I'll try calling again in the morning I guess.

To not work there SM accounts to their potential seems senseless, unless they know they'll get ton of local/ walk by trade regardless..

Hi, I help out there.

After one hell of a three-month ordeal (Will blog about it one day...) Heart of Gaming is back open. Today was the first official day but tomorrow is the first weekend so it'll be the real test.

It will be open tomorrow! (Sat 5th Oct)

Nice one Velyks!

Can you post up some internal pics of the new venue now most things are in place?

Are TokyoToys still lurking in a corner?

Thanks Velyks,

Do you have the F-zero and afterburner up and running? I'm quite excited to try them out!

Hopefully see you tomorrow if all goes to plan.

Did ask, but obviously you weren't in today.

For anyone who hasn't visited before:

Just got back this evening and had a great time, I spent a good 6 hours moving around the machines which would have cost an absolute fortune in a regular arcade. Excellent value for the entry fee but also well worth a few hours of anyone's time traveling.

Not much in the way of classic games but we can all pretty much play these at home so, it was mainly more modern stuff that you can't generally play at home on emulation.
Intentionally not in the same vein as Arcade Club and offers different type experience. A few machines were down which could be expected at any arcade.

Nice friendly atmosphere one staff member even stopped by to watch and complement me on having an unusually good (fluke) level on Donkey Kong. The place was fairly busy but not so busy that you couldn't get on anything.

I didn't want to approach Mark and start asking questions as I just assumed he'd not have time. A testament of how friendly he is that he approached me (a stranger) looking at one of his Naomi cabs and struck up a conversation which was much appreciated as generally I don't get to talk to people face to face about anything game / arcade related.

I took photos of most of the machines so could probably list them if anyone's interested.

[sub][/sub][sup][/sup]Mark,

Not sure if your active on here but thanks for your time and well done getting the place open again.

I'm glad you had a great time. It's always vindicating hearing things like these and seeing that all the hard graft hasn't been for nought. Sadly I didn't manage to make it down as my fire alarms decided to constantly go off and I had to get an electrician round to replace them.
