Hi,

I've been collecting for the past decade, first Japanese candy cabs and then slowly into dedicated cabs.
I've just gotten an OutRun cabaret and I'm looking for tips and parts to restore this cab.

Hi Mike!! Welcome. I only recently joined myself and also a fellow outrun owner! Great game my friend but haven’t met anyone yet who thinks otherwise.
I actually have a friend in Norway who opened and runs the Bergen Pinball Club!!

Arcadefixit might be pausing shipping soon, so if you need anything from them get your order in quick or you might have a wait....

Arcade Adventures in the states have a few NOS parts left.

As it's not been mentioned yet, you might also want to look in to enhanced ROM's.

Fixes many bugs present in the final official codebase (Rev. B), and introduces new features to extend the life of the game, including:

• Working Free Play Mode
• High Score Saving
• Additional High Score tables
• 3 additional in-game audio tracks
• Best Track Time (aka ‘Lap Time’) records
• New and old course layouts
• Software DIP Switch support
• Cheats - including infinite time and the ability to disable traffic
• Optional car handling modifications

I've been running them and enjoy the additions.

Whilst I am normally on board with the 'keep it original band wagon'......I have to say a SmartyPi board is a must for any Outrun cab. Awesome bit of kit and allows you to play multiple games including Chase HQ. And the best thing about it is your original pcb is tucked away safe so you don't get anxiety when powering the cab on and hoping nothing expensive goes pop.

welcome! I have an cabaret too running smartypi. my only tip is disable the 'force feedback' cos it sounds like someone is loose with a hammer inside your cab..
