HELP : City Connection GFX problem

Can anyone help out with this?
I bought a City Connection PCB (possibly bootleg), was assured by the seller it was 100%, and from the pics at auction it certainly appeared fine, but on arrival here it now has bars through the sprites.

I have had a quick fiddle with the +5, and this did not seem to fix it, I also re-seated the chips etc...
It's going through a Jamma adapter, but I can't see that causing the problem!
Not a biggie, as it only cost about 6 quid, but it would be nice to have it working - Any ideas?

I don't know the architecture of the board in question, but if that were
a Mr Do's Castle series board then I would be looking at one of the
4164's in the bank of sprite ram as it has even and odd pairs which
cause the striped effect when one goes.
