Hi

I've got an old Silverline JAMMA cabinet with a rotatable monitor (19", not
sure the make/model as there doesn't seem to be a label of that type on it).
The monitor's playing up; when positioned horizontally the top scanlines are
all to cock - it's OK except for the top 100 lines or so, which are a much
greater distance apart than they should be. When positioned vertically the
lines are still badly positioned, but also certain areas of the screen are
discoloured.

I'm not technical when it comes to monitors, I'm too wary of them! I wonder
what I should do. In my Defender cab the new monitor I bought a few years
ago remains pin-sharp, and I want the JAMMA cab to be the same. Can I get a
new one of these, or is there anyone with a spare monitor with a sharp
picture that they don't mind parting with?

Cheers,
Andy

a cap kit would probably clear up the seperation of the raster lines...

but if you are not confident with monitors, then buy a new one :)

Cheers Andy

I'm not sure what I need to buy. I tried fitting the Defender cab's monitor
in there as an experiment, but the chassis was too big and wouldn't allow
the monitor to be rotated. Anyone good at identifying monitors, if I send
them a pic?
