Don't speak too loud but, I have MAME working.

Now I need to do some weeding. How do I get rid of all the crap? Or at least hid the stuff that doesn't work.

There's about 30 copies of 10 x 10 that dont do anything. And copies of games that are in I think French.

I can't remember if you can hide individually with Maximus, you can use Romlister to remove dupes etc, takes a bit of setting up though.

I'm not sure what it was, and to be honest I don't care now that it's working.

At times would rather be lucky than good.

Also can you keep the high scores?

Thanks ZedEx, Have now got a cut down list of games.

What I want to know now is what was I playing for the last few hours??

Was same daft wee games in a language that I didn't know where you have to draw lines and connect them up to reveal the photo under it. But if something hit you or the line then you die.

The photos that I got were eather PinHead from HellRaiser or some nakkid woman

You need to get a hi-score build of mame.

It was a Qix clone, the name escapes me atm, just do an adult game filter.

Ok after about 12hours I'm about to pull my hair out.

I had this all working before But now I can't get RomLister to run.

When I start it I get an error message "Unknown Input XML Type. Carry on at your won risk"

Then after pointing it at all the files and asking it to merge it crashes and I get a window saying that 'RomLister has stopped working' Check online or close etc etc.

Is this cos I've changed it to window 7? Other than having HyperSpin instead of Maximus Arcade thats the only thing I have changed.

Have you upgraded to a newer version of MAME? MAME changed the way it output XML files a while back (v162, I think). An updated version of RomLister was released to deal with the new format XML.

No still had all the old files including the old romlister

Cant find where I got the romset from in the first place as was going to download the new one but couldn't find a romset and matching MAME.exe
