Welcome to the forum!

East coast here. And I'll echo what the others have said. Cabs aren't so easy to come by in this part of the world - unless you've got the time and the cash to hire a van and head off on impromptu roadtrips.

While you're waiting for the opportunities to arise, why not take yourself on a virtual tour on the Scottish arcade scene of the 80s and 90s via my blogpost:

Edinburgh, Glasgow, Falkirk & Stirling, Kilsyth (and here), Cumbernauld (and here), the M6!

Hi -

Love the blog. I too thought NQ64 was a bit soulless and definitely too loud. I had a few plays of Terminator 2: Judgment Day. I think I've read about your library retro club before, it's no more? I'm sure I saw something on Facebook. I had restored an IBM XT and was tempted to find a place to take it along and see what others had. I like your study room photos too. These days I have only a Mister in use, but now we've moved house slightly more space to consider new things!

I also visited Konbo, although only once and similarly felt guilty when it disappeared. It was very good - clean and not extremely loud music playing. I hadn't been to Mortal Kocktail, which I tried yesterday evening. Was too loud, and screenburn on Tekken 2 was pretty bad. A few machines out of order. I enjoyed my Delirium Tremens!

Many thanks Lechuck. Very kind of you to say so! It's a shame you never made it to the Retro Games Club. It was good while it lasted. I'm sure your XT would have been appreciated. Mister is great once you get it set up properly - but if you'd got the space, there's nothing like a real cab!

Yeah, shame about Konbo. It's also fair to say that the arcade machines are not Mortal Kocktail's best feature. Did you get a chance to check out the pins?
