Evenin' all - some of you may know me from J+, but I post on Arcade Otaku as VectorGlow. Been having a break from repairs for the past few weeks (no holiday for ten years and too much work makes one stressed out board repairer).

Still kind of on a break, but easing myself gently back into the fray that is arcade board repair.

So a big HI to anyone who knows me (and those who don't!).

He has repaired a good few boards for me, great guy to deal with, sorry but I feel like I'm cheating on you by trying to fix boards myself, however you and I know that has a long way to go yet, so you may just recieve a Black Tiger in the post soon, along with a Wonderboy in Monsterland (as per tech threads on here)

Seriously though I will try the basics to try to learn, but I think a nice Galaxian booty is what I need, something a bit more simple to start with.

Still got one for sale Phil??

(P.S I even found a Black Tiger repair log you wrote on Aussie Arcade last night!)

Test kit? Oh, just the 'basics' - 'scope, logic pulser and probe, multimeter, Fluke 9010A, desoldering and soldering station, test PSU with loads of adaptors, RGB monitor (two of), EPROM eraser, three EPROMs programmers .......... etc.

South west Wales to be precise - really sorry that I couldn't help with your Outrun cab (re your PM to me on J+) but I don't fix Outrun boards (or cabs).

Can you list the boards you do repair please?

It might be easier to list the ones that I DON'T repair, namely anything too 'recent' (mid 90s and later generally speaking, but sometimes there are exceptions), Nintendo boards and Sega boards from around the time of Outrun onwards.

I don't do much vector stuff either these days.

Other than that, if you need anything repairing give me a yell, I'll let you know if I repair that board type and take it from there.

I'm having a 'board repairs' break right now (only doing really urgent stuff) but I aim to get back into the usual flow in September.
