I remember PC engine stuff from Japan on Ebay being cheap years ago but most of it now is really overpriced and sometimes more expensive than the UK ebay stuff which is saying something. Is it games or consoles you're after? I've been collecting PC Engine stuff on and off since the 90s, so many variations on the consoles and so many great games to collect.

After HuCards and CD-ROMs (although I haven't got a Duo yet), mainly. I'm sourcing consoles from the UK. I have an SSDS 3 and a Turbo EverDrive PRO coming, but I still want a reasonably small collection of select games, as I love having the actual original games in my hands.

No, not from them - just ebay. Bought Devil Crash to test the waters. Currently on the lookout for PC Genjin 3 and Parodius Da!, amongst others.

There's a rare, boxed, PAL TurboGrafx 16 on ebay at the moment. I'm only into the Japanese consoles and games, myself. Much nicer HuCards and manuals IMO, with added Japanese cool. I've gone a bit PC Engine mental lately, and currently have an original PCE, boxed complete Core Grafx I, modded Duo, and modded GT.

It's PAL. The PC Engine was never officially released in the UK by NEC, but Telegames sold a bunch of ones converted to PAL with an accessories pack.
Sure mines pal but I never got no accessory pack with it. It’s only had a couple of hours use, I couldn’t get into it.
Ill have to check.
Yeah, playing in PAL won't have done it any favours.

I'm no expert, but yours looks like a PAL one. Apparently they are lighter colour and have a different logo to the US TG16.

yeah, its a pal version with blazing lasers and the accessory pack
also plays US Hu Cards but not Jap without an adapter
i paid £80 for it, i could go and buy a brand new console from the shop and it probably wouldnt be in any better condition

that not even the whole story, i also got a mint boxed NES with maio/duckhunt and the lightgun. and CPC464 with colour monitor, the whole lot i was only charged £200 for(£60, £60, £80)

November 2022, it was from a guy who was selling a lot of his retro stuff and wanted to give it to proper collectors, he had all kinds up for sale at the time and was putting half of the money to charity
