Anyone know why he has random pieces of what looks like foam, on his walls??  If that was for sound proofing, surely you'd expect the whole wall to be covered?

It's acoustical dampening foam. And utterly pointless for recording in a neutral sounding box due to the large number of flat faces he's got everywhere. All the gear, no idea
