Howdy!
Greetings from the other side of the pond.
I wrote book! It’s a price guide and collectors guide to arcade videogames. You can buy it right now from Amazon, or check out a free version on my website at vintagearcadegal.com. The prices are in USD, but I was advised by several fellow collectors in the USA that this would be of interest to UKVAC as well :) This book was three years in the making, and was created by the help of many folks int he collecting community.

I got this book same time as Greg's so have flicked through both and enjoying both equally, Has lots of good narrative including random shit like why some Nintendo cabs have more speaker slots than others, every day is a school day in the vintage arcade world.

Pricing is obviously off for us lot but it gives you a fair idea, I also found it interesting what cabs were sought after in the US compared to here. For example I recon 720 is likely worth more over there than here looking at the price guide.

You can get a copy off Amazon for next day delivery which helps for all other couch potatoes out there where anything more than three click purchases are classed as overtime.

I think this will go nicely next to my Hitesh arcade flyer & Ocean history signed books.
I will get the paper back version as its a 3rd of the price of the hardback edition.

I got the hardback version as it gives great support to the pages and has the colour photos in it. Has some heft to it.

As others have said, it doesn't really reflect the monetary value of cabs over here, and we also have other makes of cabs and boards from Europe that never made it over to the great U.S. of A.

I think I follow you on Instagram. Very nice work.

As some have said, prices across the globe differ. Some of that depending on how desirable a game is and the usual supply / demand factor which is fluid.

Would be interesting if there was a UK edition of this, maybe a collab with a UK expert or 10? A Japanese edition too? I'd buy that for a dollar!
