Another Snow Bros, this time an original from a time when I believed eBay sellers when i didn’t realise “untested” meant “totally knackered beyond repair”. This board has a custom chip on it, only found on this game, so if its damaged (as this one is) you have an unrepairable board.
Had to look hard to find another version of this, its by GGI Corp (who also did a version of Phoenix), this one is a Scramble clone called Rambler. Or that’s what I found on the internet, only 1 other picture available of a PCB. And it’s absolutely filthy.
Well mine is SO2/VER.A so looks like Soul Edge! CheersThere should be a little sticker on the back with a code that'll let you work out what game it is.
Soul Edge (ver2) is SO4/VER.C, for example.
Or plug it in, obviously
I remember researching this one when I acquired it, a Super Pang board that has some kind of suicide circuit on it, so it was stored away as a project for another day. I understand it can be recovered, there are some threads on here about it.
Quite possibly the filthiest PCB I have ever encountered, this one is truly disgusting. I put on a hazmat suit and scraped away enough crap from the board to see it has no markings other than ”EEM-16” which returns nothing from google. It has 2 sets of daughter boards, one of them a triple decker, so maybe a conversion as I doubt anyone would release an abomination like this as standard! Any ideas? I’m off now to shower
Probably just a fuse ? lol. I have seen the same as this to be fair, ALl repairable.

The dirty ones usually work forever, and the minty looking ones from OP's usually died not long after purchase and were put into the scrap pile. That's from experience and what I've been told from others.
It’s very well constructed, uses pins to join the 2 boards directly rather than the usual ribbon cable.Nice collection, I recognize the Pheonix pcb.

Yeah I'd get that battery off there for starters. But both Pang & Super can be revived.
I think the seeing the project Phoenix (or at least all of the component pieces!) has got me most excited, this is something I have been wanting to do for so long. I recently acquired a Cabaret version of the game and it only makes me want the a full size Centuri cabinet more!
