iOS users, what version are you using

Hi guys, we're just going through the pain of updating the iOS app for iOS7 (as well as fixing some reported bugs). Releasing an iOS7 only version of the app would be much simpler than trying to support other iOS versions so I want to gauge if there is anyone using the app on anything older. I know iPad1 users cannot upgrade beyond iOS5.1.1 (I still have one as well) for example.

I have iOS 7 on my iphone 4s and iOS 6.1 on my ipad.

As soon is I discovered that SNK blazing star wouldn't play properly on iOS 7 I held off on my ipad.

iOS7 looks gash from what I've seen, but mostly due to no JB for it, Gridlee won't work

I was a bit miffed about Gridlee or iMame not appearing on my new ios7 iPad so I went searching for it (it is still on my older iPhone/iPad which were installed from the App Store. Happily the author has made the source available for download so if you have a Mac, a Developer Account and Xcode you can build your own version to run on your own devices without jailbreaking it.

It's here if you want to do it yourself.

Cheers,

Dan

I like iOS7, but my battery is really screwy now. iPhone shuts down randomly when reporting a low battery (like at 20% for example). or the 20% warning shows, and then the phone is totally dead thirty seconds later and won't switch back on without a charge. This all started happening as soon as I updated.

I don't really like my iPhone 5 full stop. Sadly it has a dirty great asset tag on the back though so i suspect it would be noticed by work if I flogged it

And also, as annoying as it is, too many companies still only see Apple when it comes to mobile apps. Ironic really after all the years of wishing Apple versions of PC stuff existed.

I like iOS7, whenever I have to use iOS5 now I find it very clunky and slow. The battery life was fixed (for me) by turning off background tasks. Since then it's been perfect.

Or just jailbreak your device and add the gridlee.ipa*

Don't quite get you. You said "iOS7 looks gash from what I've seen, but mostly due to no JB for it, Gridlee won't work" but now your saying you "just jailbreak your device"? The method I mentioned works on ios7 and you don't need to jailbreak your device...

Yes, but that was some time back, there is now a JB for the latest FW (so no matter what iOS ver you are running you can do it), plus there are a lot more benefits than just Gridlee with a JB.
